Each ordinand is to wear white surplice, an academic hood, preaching scarf and in the case of men, clerical shirt and clerical collar and for women, either clerical shirt and clerical collar or a dress/blouse that has a normal collar. For those who don’t own an academic hood or who can’t acquire one by another means, contact Steve Rockwell (steve@mtd.org.au) and include the type of hood needed. You will be sent an email that includes an invoice for a hiring fee of $20, to be paid before ordination. The hired hoods will be delivered to the Cathedral on the day of ordination.
Cathedral doors open at 9:30am for the general public, including family members of the ordinands. The service commences at 10am and will finish by 11:30am
We recommend people travel into the city by public transport as there is no parking available at the Cathedra. Wilson Parking offer secure parking at St Andrew’s House Car Park, located at 464 Kent St behind Sydney Town Hall.
