Candidacy Application Process

Pre-college Applicants

  1. Interview with Principal of MTC
  2. Phone contact with MT&D (Rob Smith)
  3. Download Confidential questionnaire, Attachments 4 & 5 and the 100 point check
  4. Interview with Regional Archdeacon (all screening documentation above collected plus Interview Record). Applicant given application form (2pg) and psychologist details.
  5. Meeting with Psychologist (with spouse preferably)
  6. Meeting with MT&D re psych report
  7. MTC Selection conference (usually when MT&D have all documentation)
  8. Recommendation to Archbishop
  9. Letter sent to applicant from Archbishop

At-College Applicants

  1. Confer with College Chaplain, Principal and Registrar
  2. Phone contact with MT&D (Rob Smith)
  3. Download the Confidential questionnaire, Attachments 4 & 5 and the 100 point check
  4. Interview with Regional Archdeacon (all screening documentation above collected plus Interview Record). Applicant given application form (6pg), 3 Confidential references and psychologist details.
  5. Meeting with Psychologist (with spouse preferably)
  6. Meeting with MT&D re psych report
  7. Special Selection conference (usually when MT&D have all documentation)
  8. Recommendation to Archbishop
  9. Letter sent to applicant from Archbishop

Post-College Applicants

  1. Phone contact with MT&D (Rob Smith)
  2. Download the Confidential questionnaire, Attachments 4 & 5 and the 100 point check
  3. Interview with Regional Archdeacon (all screening documentation above collected plus Interview Record).
  4. Applicant given application form (6pg), 3 Confidential references and psychologist details.
  5. Meeting with Psychologist (with spouse preferably)
  6. Meeting with MT&D re psych report
  7. Special Selection conference (usually when MT&D have all documentation)
  8. Recommendation to Archbishop
  9. Letter sent to applicant from Archbishop
Please note: it is important that all documentation is received before the recommendation goes to the Archbishop.
